WELCOME TO Chestnut
In Chestnut our teacher is Mrs Fox, supported by Mrs Kingham.
In Year 4, we teach children how to become responsible and independent members of Walgrave Primary school, learning new skills along the way!
Of course it is important that we have LOTS of fun as we learn, and we have some exciting topics to help us do so as well as a range of engaging subjects to broaden our knowledge!
Throughout Year 4, we aim to collaboratively learn, share and explore the world around us. We continue to build friendships, make good choices and show KS2 how truly amazing we are!
In Year 4, lessons adhere to the National Curriculum but also take the lead from us and our interests as this is when the best learning occurs.
Year 4 is filled with lots of new opportunities and challenges to help us develop and become more independent as we prepare for Upper Key stage 2.
At the end of Year 4, all children will complete the National Multiplication Tables Check. This will be done on a computer. There are 'quick fire' questions to find out how well the children know their multiplication facts up to 12.
Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday
Please take a look at our half termly Class Letter to see the exciting topics we will be covering in class!
